Herson N. Merino is a bilingual Spanish speaking attorney who was born and raised in the Northern Virginia area. Herson graduated with honors from the University of the District of Columbia David A. Clarke School of Law in 2015. While in law school, Herson obtained his student bar license and provided over 700 hours of legal assistance, including vigorous criminal defense representation, to D.C.’s most vulnerable and indigent residents. In addition to being in the courtroom while in law school, Herson served as an Articles Editor for the UDC Law Review.
After graduating from law school, Herson was admitted to the Virginia Bar, and began working as an associate attorney at a local law firm in Manassas, Virginia. Due to his fluency in Spanish and exceptional litigation skills, Herson handled the majority of criminal matters at the firm. As a result, Herson was able to litigate and favorably resolve more than 100 cases in Virginia’s General, Circuit, and Juvenile & Domestic Relations Courts.
Prior to joining Patrick Anderson & Associates, Herson was a staff attorney at Legal Services of Northern Virginia. At Legal Services of Northern Virginia, he once again helped the indigent population by representing victims of domestic violence through litigating and defending protective order cases.
