Attorney Robert Maury was born and raised in Richmond, Virginia. He attended Barton College in North Carolina, and in 2002 graduated with a degree in Political Science and a minor in Economics. After graduation Robert returned to Richmond where he spent several years as a manager for a large corporation and ultimately started a family.
In 2011 Robert realized he wanted to pursue his dream of becoming a lawyer and made the decision to obtain a law degree from the University of Richmond. Analytics, critical thinking, and arguing different viewpoints have always been strengths of his, so Robert’s decision to study criminal defense was a natural one. His choice to enter the field of criminal defense was solidified while in law school where he excelled on the Trial Advocacy Board and interned with the Commonwealth Attorneys Office of Chesterfield County and the Richmond Public Defender’s Office. While interning he worked on many cases including domestic violence and drug cases.
After being admitted to the bar association, Robert worked in private practice where he argued and won civil cases in front of the circuit court. Robert takes pride in thoroughly researching cases for his clients in order to explore every possible avenue for developing compelling legal arguments to fit each client’s individual needs. He will be a strong advocate for you and your case because he believes that everyone is deserving of a strong legal defense.
Robert Maury has recognized the need for fair and avid representation in the criminal justice system which is how he found his calling in a career of criminal defense. Robert joined Patrick N. Anderson & Associates to continue his practice of criminal law and fervently representing the accused. Robert enjoys traveling with his wife and two children.
