A woman who oversaw some before and after-school programs as well as summer camps is facing embezzlement charges in Virginia Beach.
According to an article in the Virginian-Pilot, Felicia Hoyle is scheduled to appear in court on a felony charge of embezzlement in late December. Court documents allege she took more than $200, but an official said the amount was closer to $3,000.
The charges allege Hoyle pre-purchased movie tickets for the programs, but when fewer children arrived than expected, she would request the refund on her personal credit card.
She had reportedly been a Parks and Recreation employee for 13 years.
