Two teens were shot Friday at the Rockville Metro station and two other teens have been charged as adults in the incident Friday afternoon.
According to reports, a 16-year-old boy and an 18-year-old girl were both shot once about 2:30 p.m. Friday and are suffering from non-life-threatening wounds. The Washington Post reported the boy was shot once in the leg and the girl was grazed by a bullet. Officials said the boy was the likely intended target and the girl was an innocent bystander.
Sixteen-year-old Kevin Nguyen and 17-year-old Tavares D. Harris were charged with attempted first-degree murder, conspiracy to commit murder, use of a firearm in the commission of a violent felony as well as first-degree assault in the attack. Nguyen was taken into custody minutes after the attack and Harris was
apprehended a bit later.
The shooting is still under investigation.
